The Manage Snapshots tab is where you’ll create and publish snapshots, as well as control which live is round. Once all the Campaign Settings are configured in your campaign, you are ready to set up your campaign’s snapshots and prepare for going live.
A Snapshot is a defined collection of copy and settings that will appear on your campaign. A snapshot is used for each round of Bracket Vote and will include that specific round’s copy and information about campaign info, upcoming rounds, and end dates. The snapshot will pull the bracket and vote options info according to which round is active.
Snapshot types include:
- Open Snapshot: An open snapshot will push live your vote options and allow users to pick their contestants within each match-up and submit their bracket. The Open snapshots will follow the vote settings set within the snapshot and display the copy associated with users voting.
- Winner Snapshot: The winner snapshot is a specific view of the campaign that no longer accepts vote submissions and displays the winner of the bracket as set in the Bracket Tab under Campaign Settings. This snapshot will be assigned to the final 5th “Winner” round and includes options for how you would like to display the campaign’s winner.
- Closed Snapshot: A closed snapshot does not include the bracket or vote submissions. This snapshot type is used before the campaign goes live, in between rounds, and when the campaign has ended (no longer displaying the winner announcement). A closed snapshot is required and must be pushed live prior to moving to the next round of the campaign.
Manage Rounds is where a user can control which snapshot is tied to each round and determines which round is active. By default, the first round will always be active first. To avoid voting errors between rounds, we require that you push live an Closed snapshot before setting a next round active from the Manage Rounds modal.
