Manage Snapshots

Open Snapshot

An Open Snapshot is where the questions are added and styled to create a triple play instance.

The Triple Play with Leaderboard template supports standard questions (predictor, trivia and poll), sponsored standard questions, and write-in questions (numerical write-in). Predictor questions have the results revealed at a later time while trivia questions provide instant feedback to the user and notified that after an answer is selected if the answer selection was correct or incorrect as well as the points earned.

Trivia and poll questions are set up the same as predictor questions. However, after the question is created, the question must be marked as trivia or poll and the correct answers/points values (optional with poll types) must be added into the scoring modal before the snapshot goes live. These questions can be Sponsored Questions and have specific brand styles separate from the default styles. See Creating Trivia and Poll Questions to learn more.

Write-in questions allow users to enter a numerical value prediction as their answer. This question type only accepts numerical answers and requires scoring settings to be completed within the Score Center prior to saving the snapshot and going live. See Creating Write-In Questions to learn more.

Important Note: Once you schedule or make a snapshot live, you can’t delete questions or answer options. Answers can be edited in the case there is a typo.

Snapshot Header

Question Display: There are two different types of Question Displays – Ballot View and Single Question View

  • Ballot View: displays all questions and answer options in a single vertical page
  • Single Question View: displays each question on its own page and allows users to scroll through each question one at a time using previous and next arrows.

To select the question view, use the radio buttons at the top of the editor.

Add Header: In the header portion, there are three parts: Header Headline, Header Sub-Headline, and Header Text. All three portions can be filled out or only one. Text can also be bolded, italicized or linked in this section.

Design Tip: Add a branded background with logos. Add a space in each header section to make the background populate in the end user view.

Icons: Customize colors, borders, or upload custom icons. From left to right, the icons represent:

  • Home: the questions view
  • Results: the results view where questions have been scored (may be blank if the user had not played any previous games)
  • Leaderboard: to view the game and/or cumulative leaderboard
  • Share: opens a modal for the experience share to FB and/or Twitter
    • Sharing is set to display by default, but the icon can be removed by hitting the “trashcan” icon that sits next to the Share icon
    • Reminder that the share data is set up under Campaign Settings > Social Sharing Content

Add Sponsor Message and Graphics: A Sponsor Message and a Sponsor Graphic can be added and linked.

Add Game Name: Add the Game Name if it is a series or to add extra copy.

Questions Section

Questions Countdown: An optional countdown can be added to an open snapshot to allow users to know how much time they to answer questions and until answers lock.

To add a countdown, schedule your snapshot then schedule a LOCK time. To learn how to schedule a lock time, see Locking Games.

General Answer Settings: To access the General Answer Settings, hit the pencil icon within the Questions Setting area (depicted in the image above).

In the General Answer Settings, you can choose to randomize the order or keep the order of the answers, display or remove the percentage values and update the font settings.

Answer Styles

Upon landing on the Open Snapshot, you’ll see both General Answer Styles and Write-In Answers Styles collapsed by default. Click to expand each one to update the styles.

Question Styling: The default question styling in this section will be the same for all regular Questions, only (as opposed to sponsored questions). Choose “Question” in the “Add Question” dropdown to create a question with this styling.

Add custom locked and unlocked messages as well as configure answer backgrounds, text, and button colors for the unlocked and locked question states, selected and unselected answers, and correct and incorrect answers.

Results Question Styling: Configure backgrounds and text colors for incorrect, correct, submitted and unselected color combinations.

Important Note: Changes made to the Results Question Styling within the default snapshot question section will only effect Questions on the Question tab, in a locked state.

Add Question: There are 4 types of questions that can be added:

Questions will all be styled the same with the question styling mentioned above. Sponsored Questions can be styled differently per sponsor colors and branding. Write-in questions have their own styles that are unique to the question type. Interstitials is where an interstitial message or ad can be added.

Question order can be rearranged by clicking the up and down arrows for the question.

Other configurable options include randomizing answer options and showing or hiding percentages when a user answers.

Important Note: If no questions are added to an open snapshot when the snapshot is made live, users will be locked out of the experience receiving error messages at login.

Pagination Stylers are only visible within the Single View Question Display. Customizations include changing the colors, borders, copy, font styling and icons.
