Instant Trivia:
Instant trivia questions tell the user they are correct or incorrect as soon as they answer. When setting up instant trivia questions, create your snapshot with the question(s), save the snapshot, navigate to the Score Control Center modal, and mark the questions as Trivia (Instant), designate points and the correct answer and save again. Once the game is live, a question can no longer be set to instant Trivia. Users will see their points update automatically approx. every 30 seconds or when the snapshot is locked. Auto release of the leaderboard must be set to true for points to update automatically. Otherwise, points will update when the game is scored.
When the game is live, the scoring modal will give the user the option for when to reveal the trivia answers. Answers are revealed under the results tab in the application.
By default, the answers will reveal on ‘lock’.
If a user needs to override this, uncheck the box below in the scoring modal and the user can choose when they want to manually reveal the trivia answers.
Notes:
- Once you lock and reveal trivia, you can’t go back and un-reveal the answers.
- Unlocking a snapshot will allow someone to submit a trivia answer if they haven’t yet but you can’t unrelease the correct answers. This is not a recommended action.
Poll:
Poll questions have the option to impact a user’s score by applying participation points for answering the poll question. When setting up poll questions, create your snapshot with the question(s), save the snapshot, navigate to the Score Control Center modal and mark them as Trivia (Instant), and designate points if you’d like to award participation points (optional). Once the game is live, a question can no longer be set to Poll.
