The Triple Play with Leaderboard supports numerical write-in answers for its prediction style questions. Below are descriptions of the three “rules” that a write-in question can be scored by. For each predictor question, only one scoring methods below can be selected.

Along with the Prediction, Trivia, and Poll, you can set default scoring to Write-In Questions. The Default Settings section is expanded by default and all default scoring will be set here. If there unique scoring needed for a specific Write-In question, you can chose to check “Override Defaults” on the Question Card and add the specific scoring.

Adding Rules
Whether you are setting up the default scoring or specific questions scoring, to create a rule for your write-in questions, click the “+ Add Rule” and select the type of rule.

“Rules” – Types of Write-In Scoring
Points
If the User predicts the correct answer within X points of the actual answer, Y points are awarded. The Client can set the values for X and Y.
The Client can also restrict awarded points (Y) based on User’s answer being above or below the correct answer (price is right model). This means that the game can award points for answers above but not answers below if the Client chooses to (or vice versa)

Example: If the user’s guess is exactly correct give 20 points, if user’s guess is plus or minus $5000 from the car value, give 10 points. If the guess is plus or minus $10,000, give 5 points, etc…
Percentage
If the User predicts the correct answer within X percentage points of the actual answer, Y points are awarded. The Client can set the values for X and Y
The Client can also restrict awarded points (Y) based on user’s answer being above or below the correct answer (price is right model).

Example: If the user’s guess is exactly correct give 20 points, If the user’s guess is plus or minus 5% from the car value, give 10 points. If the guess is plus or minus 10%, give 5 points, etc…
Range
For every X that the User’s prediction is above or below the correct answer, the maximum point possibility Y is reduced by Z points, down to a limit of 0 points earned.

Example: Entrants that predict the exact selling price will receive 500 points. For every $500 you are incorrect by above or below you lose 1 point. You receive 0 points once you are outside the correct answer by more than $50,000.
- Users receive points based on accuracy within a preset deviation range above or below of the correct answer. The number of points awarded is determined by the proximity to the correct answer.
- Entrant’s that predict the exact selling price will receive 500 points. For every $1 that the User’s prediction is above or below the correct answer, the maximum point possibility (500) is reduced by 1 point, down to a limit of 0 points earned.
Additional Notes:
- When there are multiple qualifying rules, the highest point value is awarded.
- e.g.: The higher point value rule overrides any lower point value rules
- For the leaderboard example, if you have two rules, within 10 points and within 20 points, but the within 20 points for some reason rewards a higher point value, if you are within 5 points instead of getting the 10 point differential reward you will get the higher reward.
